Emergency Plumbing Repairs

A burst pipe under the floorboards or water coming through a ceiling needs action before anything else. The first job is to stop the water: we locate the stopcock (often under the kitchen sink, in a cellar or behind a panel in older terraces), isolate the affected circuit and make the area safe. Then we trace the cause, whether that is a split copper joint, a failed compression fitting or a perished flexible hose.

Where a permanent repair needs parts we do not carry, we fit a temporary fix so you have water and heating back, then return to finish the job. Before we leave you are told what was done and what still needs attention.

Boiler, Heating and Central Heating Work

Plumbing and heating overlap in most London homes. Cold radiators, a pressure gauge that keeps dropping, kettling noises or a boiler showing a fault code can all trace back to the water side of the system. We bleed and balance radiators, replace TRVs and lockshield valves, fix weeping pump valves and repressurise sealed systems that have lost water.

Not every job can wait for a booked slot. When you fill in the Quick Quote form, say it is urgent and describe what is happening: an active leak, no water, no heating, or a toilet out of use in a home with only one. Urgent jobs are prioritised, and same-day attendance is offered where the diary allows.

While you wait, turn off the stopcock if water is escaping, switch off electrics near the leak and move anything valuable out of the way. If you smell gas, leave the property, avoid using switches and call the national gas emergency line. Once the area is safe, we can find and fix the cause.
